This week saw an impressive 18 Club members make use of a beautiful morning to attend parkruns at 4 different locations and in the process set 5 new course PB. Well done guys & girls a super turnout! Kudos to you all!

Montacute

A massive field of 412* runners including 10 LR runners and several dogs and pushchairs graced the grounds of Montacute this week. Kyle continued his impressive run of performances here and in 10 outings this year has never been outside of the top 16. He came an impressive 5th. Tamsyn recorded a PB. I produced my second-best effort in 9 attempts. It could have been better but I enjoyed a tipple or two on Friday night!+

Jack

Look who is behind (it is me by some distance!)

Longrun Meadow

Roxburgh~ (she will get the joke) and Nick paid a trip to Taunton. Roxane had a great run on Saturday and was chuffed to bits with her PB in what was her 32nd outing here. Nick is now fast approaching his ton with 93 parkruns to his name and Dave will also be hitting 90 (parkruns that is) on his next run.

Shepton Mallet

Sam shaved a couple of seconds of his PB in coming home in 5th place. Well done to Isaac and Martin who also recorded a PB. I am sure if Isaac did not have to help his Dad around he would be quicker 😊 . Anne, a parkrun stranger of late, was our star performer this week, she recorded a staggering 74.30% score and topped our table with her first run here. Well done Anne.

Colby (It is in lovely West Wales)

Katy for her second parkrun chose the lovely grounds and woods of the National Trust and ran with her son (I am guessing) William for his first parkrun.

*The record attendance is 431.

+ Medical science has suggested the correct hydration is water the night before a run!

~ The Predictive text message over the weekend I sent Roxane kept coming up with Roxburgh. Oh how we laughed!
