I guess the Uphill-Wells run on the same Saturday meant less Langport Parkrunners; only seven this week.
Having said that, Martin did the double - a Parkrun as well as a leg of the relay on the same day. He ran Shepton Mallet Parkrun for the 5th time and achieved a PB of 22:21. His previous best was 28:52. I suspect this run was child/buggy-free?? Or a massive improvement by the kids??
The majority of us were running at Montacute. Sue, Liz and Amanda continue to be extremely consistent with their times, with Liz topping the percentage table. Repeating last week's star performance, Katy ran our other PB of the week. Another 17 seconds off her best time.
Sue (95) and Amanda (91) are heading towards their 100 Parkruns. Celebratory cake soon??
Interesting fact - Langport Runners are second in Montacute's table of number of runners from one club having taken part in a Montacute Parkrun. 72 of us have run there in the last 4 years.
Dave was the sole Langport Runner at Longrun Meadow. One of 322 runners this week. The smile of satisfaction in the photo was his pleasure in knowing he was way ahead of another runner in his age category. Well done Dave :)
Burnham & Highbridge had a pacing event on. They hope to make this a regular thing.
Dave mentioned a relative of his has started Parkrunning in Australia. Please do let Mike or me have photos/news of Parkruns you or you relatives run in interesting places. Beautiful that it is, there are only so many photos of Montacute House that need to be included in these reports! Thank you.
