We were back at Montacute this weekend for the 200th run, with a smallish field of 265 runners. The course was run on Winter lines through the trees again - unfortunately this does mean no buggies in the run. BHAM runners took on the volunteering for the event and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, Shelley Romans had a faulty scanner which meant all the bar codes she scanned did not get registered (including mine). However, a notice was placed on Face Book and I emailed my result in and the results updated. I had my highest finishing place at Montacute a lofty 59th I like these smaller fields. Well done to Celia who clocked up consecutive PBs at Montacute on her third run. Amanda has now chalked up her 98th parkrun. Cakes soon one hope!
Roxane and Nick where at Anderson Park in New Zealand for a hot parkrun. Proper parkrun tourism! This course runs along flat ground and does two clockwise laps on the outside perimeter of Anderson Park, before one small inside lap leads to the finish line. The start line is near the skate park, and the finish line 200 meters to the south at the grassed BBQ area next to the Auckland Road car park. The paths are made of concrete, but a 500-meter section of grass forms part of the outer laps. The inside lap crosses a picturesque small creek via two bridges. Rox said that it was very friendly and welcoming.
James Andrews was at Burnham and had a great percentage score in the sixties but could not beat Liz who tops our little table this week.
