Just the 5 Langport Runners were out this weekend. Kyle and Dave were at Longrun Meadow. Kyle came 7th with a quick time of 18.21 and nice to see Dave chalking up his 106th parkrun. Dennis was our sole runner at Burnham and recoded an impressive percentage score.
Roxane who is still in Auckland New Zealand and attended the Barry Curtis parkrun (in a field of 238 runners) with Nick and has sent the following:
Parkrun is a bit more popular in Auckland - 3 Parkruns here - more populated here.
Two laps of an undulating Park. A bit cloudier than the last two - but still hot and still early 8am start!!
Interestingly no marshals around the course - permanent signs - makes the whole thing quicker and easier to set up. Only 5 volunteers needed weekly - see photo of board.
Chatted with a guy that had done 5 UK parkruns / nobody knew Langport this week. Just Nick and I running, Ed back on the road now.
