This was the last Montacute Parkrun until March. Remember, there isn't one next week (30th December) - don't turn up! Then it is the 'B' course at Ham Hill from Saturday 6th January for two months. Not many of us out on the slippery modified course.

Amanda completed her 100th run at Montacute, opting for a '100' on her hairband. Sensible for running in, unlike many a Christmas outfit. How the inflatable Santa, Snowman or couple in a double jumper managed a run beats me. Hard work. My favourite was the Turkey inflatable outfit with turkey hat that ran past me on Christmas Day (see photo). A lot of effort was made by a lot of people with their running attire this Christmas. Very colourful running.

Liz and Sue ran together, with Liz topping our percentage table. Dave was the only Langport Runner at Longrun. No PBs.

There were some Christmas Day Parkruns too:

147 Nick Pratt 27:21 VM50-54 53.93% 112 PB stays at 24.52 112 Longrun
276 Roxane PRATT 32:22 VW50-54 51.80% 95 PB stays at 29:30 123 Longrun

The Parkrun website doesn't produce a collated report for Christmas Day, maybe as it is not something all venues take part in. Let me know if anyone other than Nick and myself were running on Christmas Day and I will add you to the table.

We nearly didn't make it. A bit of a rushed morning. Nick couldn't find his barcode, ended up printing off a new one and, in our rush, arrived in Taunton without his running shoes. Look carefully at the photo below and you can see he managed to run in a pair of casual shoes. Not a bad time in normal shoes on a wet, muddy course.
