'Twas a cold morning for the Langport parkrunners on Saturday, for the last parkrun at Ham Hill. Unfortunately, there will be no return to Montacute this Saturday. In fact, there will not be a Parkrun for the whole of March due to the water-logged course, farmers market and the Easter Weekend. The likely return to Montacute will be on Saturday 7th April; the week after Easter.

Only 8 of our members braved the cold weather on Saturday but between us there were some excellent performances.  At Ham Hill Kyle & Liz put in their usual consistent performances with Kyle finishing 4th and Liz recording the highest percentage score of the weekend. It was nice to see Richard out for the second time knocking 93 seconds of his first visit to Ham Hill. I enjoyed an easy run out to save the legs for the Bournemouth 10 mile race on Sunday, which takes me on to Nick and Roxane who both enjoyed a weekend in Bournemouth, nice of them to come all that way to cheer me on for my race. Rox’s second run in Bouremouth has come 4 years after her first and duly knocked a chunk off her last time (Which was 32:18).

Two of our new members Karen and Wendy were at Longrun Meadow, and well done to Karen, who slashed over a minute off her course PB.

I wonder how many we will see out next week!!!
