The majority of this week’s Langport Runners (7 of us) were at Street to enjoy a beautiful sunny morning.  I ran there officially for first time having participated in last month’s practice run. (as did Brian).  Despite several twists and turns it is a pretty flat course and the grass will be kept short.  Therefore, I think It is certainly a good opportunity for a quick time, as Maggie proved by recoding her 5k PB.  Well done Maggie. Colin and Karen also improved on their best times here this week.  Brian produced an exceptional age graded score of 75.21%.

Over at Montacute Kyle had a steady run by his standards, I suspect with one eye on the Wambrook Waddle (where he finished in 2nd place!!).  Pete Porter also ran in a PB.

David German was our only runner at Burnham’s pacer week.  Dave has been kind enough to provide the following update.

“First time I have still in the toilet when the run started!!  I had to run 1 km to catch the 40-minute pacer! I managed stay ahead of him all the way.  I claim that my official time includes at least 30 -seconds to get out of the toilet and get to the start line. There were no other incidents and it was lovely sunny run.”

This weekend is the evens pacer week at Yeovil Montacute. Even minutes this time from 26-44mins.  I am going to pace the 28 min runners and Roxane the 38 min runners. It will be my first run there this year so I am looking forward to that.  Hopefully see some of you there.
