Another beautiful warm sunny day greeted us this Saturday morning. I even managed to get my son out of bed to join me in the fresh air for a run.  Attendance on the official results were evenly split this week, with four of us at Street and four at Montacute.  Dave was the ‘Lone Wolf’ at Longrun Meadow but unfortunately his bar code wasn’t, so he had an unrecorded time but I can confirm his Strava recorded time of 41:29. Well done Dave (DFYBC).

Street

Brian on only his 7th parkrun improved on his time by over ½ minute and more impressively recorded the 4th best run ever at Street (considering his age graded score).  James had his first run at Street (having been a regular volunteer) as did Sarah.  I ran with my son at his pace until he produced a sprint finish about 50 metres from the finish line that Mo Farer would have been proud off, to mug me at the finish line.

Montacute

The usual suspects were running at the Montacute this week. Kyle was a little of his best, no doubt saving himself for Sunday’s race.  Sue, Liz and Maggie all produced steady runs this week.

Well done to our High Viz heroes this week, including Martin Hooper who had the stop watch at Street and Colin Evans Marshalled at Montacute.
