Steve was our only tourist this week he gave the course at Tring Park in Hertfordshire a visit. It was their 4th Birthday and Steve tells us it is his toughest parkrun to date and he has been to a few 19 to be precise and is fast approaching his 100th run.
There was a record attendance at Montacute where 458 runners took part, as you can imagine parking was an issue and despite arriving at 8.40 I missed the start by a few seconds and ran from the back of the grid. I ran the first half with James, but he was having a bad day (although he still got a PB) so in true Fatherly spirit, I left him and tried to weave my way through the back runners. I was quite pleased to finish in 128th bearing in mind I started from the back. Ed was pacing Roxane at Brueton but she could not quite get a her a PB.
We had no PB this week, but we still had some real great performances; Joan’s performance placed her in the 8th best all-time age grade finish at Street.
