With the date being May the Fourth many pakruns were running Star Wars themed events. However, I doubt many were as good as the one at Street which was also celebrating its 1st Birthday, it was a fantastic atmosphere with real storm troopers and Jawa’s (well they looked real to me). Nice to see Emma try out Street for only her third parkrun. I ran the first 2 laps with John but he was itching to go quicker so he zoomed off on the 3rd lap. I wanted to save my legs for Sunday’s Marathon. I finished in 79th place on my 79th parkrun. There was also plenty of cake afterwards to celebrate.

Roxane and Nick were at Cheltenham parkrun, which according to Roxane “is a lovely route - two laps of Pitville park - with lakes and golf putting course, play areas, lots of distractions on the route. Around 500 runners but the wide grassy uphill start coped well”.

Yeovil parkrun finally returned to Montacute and 7 LR turned up in a field of nearly 400 runners. There will be a monthly Pacer event on the last Saturday of each month – with the first one on Saturday 25th May.   I like pacing it is good fun and you get a volunteer credit too!

Strangely no PB recorded this week. Liz topped the table for the ladies and Andrew for the Men well done to you both.

Street Pics, one of me!
