Local Parkruns again this week: Monty, Longrun, Street and Burnham.

At Monty, Jean was warming up for her (very successful) Bristol Half marathon on the following day. Liz was first of our ladies
here and second in this week's table with Amanda P, Amanda B and Katy also achieving some good times.

Longrun saw a speedy Grahame. Also Hazel (& canine pal), Dave G (making a habit of sub 40) and Mike (taking it steady before
Langport Triathlon the next day). Longrun had to call an ambulance for a runner on 7th Sept. Longrun's update this week is to let
us know the runner is now recovering after surgery. The marshal acted quickly and used the ICE (in case of emergency) information.
They wish to remind us to update our ICE  details. This is a link to how to update your details:

Longrun also want to let us know thay have a 'Litter Pick' around the park at 10am on Saturday 28th September; the more volunteers
the better.

Topping this week's table was Brian over at Street. Richard was there too, on his 40th Parkrun.

Nick and I ventured over to Burnham for the first time in months. A little nippy at the start, but by the time we reached the prom, the sun
was out and the temperature heating up. There were many visitors from around the country, perhaps still summer holidays, so a fairly slow
start with 380 runners. I was pleased, therefore, to clock a Burnham Parkrun PB and I see Gavin did also.

Frome's Old Showfield new-ish Parkrun have made an announcement: "Hi all, we'd like to let you know that we can no longer allow you to
run with a dog at The Old Showfield parkrun - this decision has been made after careful consideration over the past few weeks and a risk
assessment of the course. So from this week we respectfully ask that you don't bring your dog if you plan to take part in parkrun. Thank you
so much for your understanding."
