Nine Langport Runners out Saturday morning Parkrunning this week. Well done Liz for achieving this week's highest Grade percentage again! Everyone reached over 50% grading, pretty good since it was bitterly cold and sleeting/snowing. No PB's but see how desperately close Grahame was to his. Tourist Charlotte achieved her best Swindon time this year and a great percentage; she has now completed a total of 30 Parkruns, with Hazel reaching a milestone of 10 Parkruns.
Dave's sprint finish (see photo) meant his best Longrun time this year. Amanda achieved a very neat and tidy 31 minutes. It was her best run to date at the Ham Hill course (so, perhaps, there was one PB this week??).
Colin and I are heading towards our 100th Parkrun in a few weeks time.
Longrun's 'bottleneck' at the start of the course was relieved this week. The starting signs with estimated finishing times were spread out further than in previous weeks and this change did translate to a smoother start. Longrun are making the Pacing events a regular feature. They are to be held on the first Saturday of the month with 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 minute pacers, as well as a run/walk pacer (run 2 mins, walk 1 minute) - should you wish to volunteer or be paced.
Parkrun photo of the week:
Dave spotted this photo of Dennis and Mrs Ward at Ham Hill Parkrun. We think it sums up Parkrun beautifully.
I have added another from this week's Longrun Meadow. Carrie Childs from Huish Leisure centre taking her toddler around his first Parkrun. Respect to anyone running and pushing a buggy, a good Saturday morning work out.
