On the 26th August the club returned to running on a Wednesday evening.

This was achieved after careful consultation by the Committee on the England Athletics Return to Activity guidelines, found here: https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/guidance-update-for-restricted-return-to-activity-for-coaches-leaders-athletes-runners-and-facilities-step-3/

(Note: England Athletics is the governing body for running in England and the club is an affiliated member to EA)

The Welfare Officer for the club with the help from the club committee prepared a Risk Assessment to ensure that the club has a Covid19 Secure Environment. Risk assessment can be  found here: Risk Assessment PDF

The Government introduced new measures to deal with COVID19, to begin on the 14th September. England Athletics has studied these measures and has determined that any club that followed their earlier guidance on Return to Activity , are already compliant and do not need to make further alterations.

"England Athletics is pleased that club and group activity as well as competitions for athletics and running will not be affected by the new restrictions on the number of people allowed to meet up. The Government has now confirmed to Sport England that organised sports and activities which have been through return to play protocols will be allowed to continue as before."
