Six different venues, 10 Langport Runners.

Yeovil Ham Hill Parkrun was on this week. By the looks of Sue's photos, it was very bleak up there. Including hardy Sue, only 168 runners took part. Sue was 7th lady.

Two PB's this week: Mine at Birmingham Cannon Hill and Colin's at Burnham. My PB bar wasn't particularly high to hit. My only other run at Cannon Hill was the second of two Parkruns on New Year's day when it was very wet and cold that morning. However, it turned out to be my best 5K by far for a few months. With a massive 684 partcipants, it took 40 seconds to reach the start and the run felt comfortable, so I was chuffed with the time. It was Colin's third run at Burnham and he knocked an impressive 1 minute 16 of his previous PB.

Four Langport Runners swam around Longrun this week; Sally German keeping dad company. Kyle finished 3rd overall, top of our percentage table and is edging towards his 50th Parkrun.

Anne ran her 21st run at Southwick in Trowbridge. This is a rare one lap course around the Country Park.

Martin completed his 25th Parkrun with son Isaac at Shepton Mallet. Shepton Mallet have announced that "On February 10th we will be repeating our junior takeover day. This time directed by Ginny Maddock under the watchful eyes of her Dad, Run Director Richard. If you would like to get your junior runners involved please let us know. We will be able to repeat our noisy carnival atmosphere. Hopefully the rain will hold off this time. For those who don't know, we let the juniors do all the major roles directing, timing, scanning and tokens. All shadowed by an adult, often mum or dad. Others marshal and make noise as we have lots of noisy instruments they can use."
