James and myself pictured below (in case you didn’t know) paid a visit to Burnham, I certainly didn’t fancy the mud at Ham Hill and the weather was pretty poor on Saturday. However, unfortunately due to technical issues with the stopwatches, we and the all of the other runners were unable to receive our times. The team at Burnham, sought advice from the Parkrun HQ, and, whilst everyone was credited with a parkrun, they were unable to publish any times. As a result, parkrun HQ advised the team at Burnham to publish a default 59:59 time against all park runners. So, in a way we all came first. For the record James recorded a speedy 21:48 according to his Strava time and your humble narrator a more sedate 24:44. So I thought I would change our table around from the normal percentage score to finishing positions. Apologies to Anne who recorded a percentage score of over 75% and a new PB at Southwick. It must have been the presence of the Club Chairman with her awards that gave her the incentive to record such a quick time.
Just the two at Ham Hill with Kyle finishing in 6th place and Sue in 55th. Not forgetting the B course is a good ½ k longer. Colin was back in the land of his Fathers for his 117 Parkrun and evergreen Dave was at Longrun Meadow.
The Burnham two:
Nearly there Dave!
