A larger than usual table with lots of Parkrunning this week. All local runs, with numbers boosted with the promotion of Our Battle
of Sedgemoor 10k at Street.

New to Street were Mel, Pete P and Ali. Well done all. John came close to matching his only other Parkrun, coming second over
all and topping our table. It was good to have a bit of rain at the start of Street. Lovely to feel a bit cooler running than of late.
However, one lap in and the rain stopped and the humidity trebled. The second two laps felt really energy sapping.

Over at Longrun, Cathy continued her return back to running and heading towards her best, Richard was a first timer and Amanda
P achieved a PB. Paul and David were also enjoying their usual Saturday morning venue.

Montacute saw Liz run a fast time (second in our table), with Sue, Jean and Maggie also running here.

A few reminders from Montacute:

(1) Next week (27th July) is Pacer Week at Montacute:
"There is a Pacer Event next Saturday – Even Numbers this time. We have only Kevin Stenner (26 Minutes) and Tara House (32 or 34 Minutes) so far – if you can help, please reply on Facebook or by e-mailing the usual volunteer e-mail address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."

(2) They also ask for runners to please get to Montacute early......

"At 8.45 there were probably only about 75 runners at the startline – meaning that more than 300 of you arrived in the last 10-15 minutes before the run started. Please try to arrive a bit earlier – it makes it easier for our car parking marshals and makes for a calmer atmosphere (it also means that you can all have a chat with your mates before, rather than during, the pre-run briefing!)"

(3) Blue Run for Fred: We will have a special "Blue Run" on Saturday 17th August as it would have been our friend Fred's birthday - we'd like you all wearing blue (Fred's favourite colour) that day.

And from Street:

(1) Remember no Street Parkrun next Saturday (27th July) due to a Sportive taking over the carpark.

And from Longrun:

(1) We are desperately short of volunteers for this Saturday 27th July! 😢
If you would like to volunteer please email in to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
